FRIDAY,  DECEMBER 8th - 12:00-2:00pm

Guest:  THE KIND co-host a show on the "Power-Pop" Chicago Music Scene.

They filled Midwest night clubs in the glory days of the late 1970's and now -- THE KIND -- are back in action and recording once again!  Rocker/producer/songwriter STAN SKORA of The Kind will co-host in studio as the topic of the day is the late '70s and early '80s heyday of Chicago's Power-Pop Scene, an era that spawned such hugely popular regional groups as The Kind, Off Broadway, Shoes, Pezband, Kevin Lee & The Heartbeat, and even Cheap Trick!   Some of the music-makers from those bands even have brand new releases that will get a spotlight shown on them as well.   Fans who lived the era and fans who missed it, will both find a lot to love about this week's special Chicago rock salute.  Expect a variety of songs -- both old and new material  -- from those and other bands will be heard during the program.
